Visiting Graduate Student in Global Health and Social Medicine
Majid Hussain is a visiting student and PhD candidate in Anthropology from the Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. His PhD research project is titled “Negotiating Tuberculosis in Pakistan: Social Capital Analysis of Barriers and Resources”. He conducted his field research in Murree Tehsial of District Rawalpini, Punjab, Pakistan. His target population is poor positive pulmonary TB patients.
Visiting Scholar in Global Health and Social Medicine (EXT)
Dr. Seddon is a Fulbright Visiting Scholar from Imperial College London. His main area of research is the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis infection and disease in children, particularly drug-resistant forms. He will spend six months at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine, working with Professor Becerra, to evaluate different strategies to combat drug-resistant tuberculosis in children.
Visiting Scholar in Global Health and Social Medicine
Prashant Yadav is a globally recognized researcher, educator and policy advisor in the area of healthcare supply chains. As a visiting scholar at the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine he collaborates on research projects related to improving supply chains for essential medicines and is developing case studies on health supply chain improvements in developing countries. He also teaches short course modules and mentors students interested in the field of global health supply chains.
